Think Gene: Coriell PMC Launches Web Portal

Allow me to be the first to gripe about the Family Medical History interface. For the love of god, it is brutal to click No for all of the medical conditions no member of my family has. I understand the value in forcing consideration of all topics, and of not providing a default for 'No' vs 'Don't Know'. I also realize that clicking on the column header selects that for all values.

But nothing excuses making me and so many others waste so much of our time on a clumsy interface.

You're right, "Don't know" should be the default radio button value, or the form element should be changed to a radio checkbox. Whoever designed their system did not define their "null" initial value well in their data model... I will pass this along. Thanks, Mike.

What was really tough about the family history interface was missing one little click in the whole thing and then going through 3/4 of it to find it so I could be done....

    Points:
    1. As for nationwide availability, Navi can't test people in NY or several other states where it is ILLEGAL to perform DTC testing
    2. Navigenics and 23andME test results did take longer than immediately to come back. Most of these took a month or so
    3. I think they may be working on the email and video consent stuff.....I think.

Well i think that it is rather dubious that a medical research study would change the terms of consent after collecting genomic samples.
