Wow! Drew. I gues you are mad because I said Silly-Con Valley Types......
No one said Counseling would die with counselors. I just wanted to provide a legal billing option for genetics departments. That's all. BTW, can your python program give a tissue or a hug? What about a warm, "It's going to be ok". Until we all mutate into klingons or vulcans, your solution is only for the Millenial Generation.

I checked out the two articles Sciphu suggested and he convinced me that I don't need a genetic counselor. What happened to the element of surprise? If my wife has a baby with problems that won't make me love the baby less. If she's told that she has a 60% of having a baby with problems, we'll probably adopt one. Therefor, I prefer not knowing and raising my own baby.

The element of surprise? We're not talking on the single question of whether it's a boy or a girl.

Some genetic modifications should be considered when it comes to basic health needs. Would you or your wife want to be surprised that your baby unhealthy and suffers from a wide range of otherwise curable diseases?
