  • I'm just a lay person, but when I imagine gene theropy of the future, I imagine the creation of custom viruses that will not only "fix" the cell's DNA, but will also reproduce inside the cell so that the DNA "fix" is spread throughout the entire body. Then again, if you wanted to fix a genetic kidney problem, would it matter what the DNA in your toes looked like?
