Think Gene: Shortest Response: Why do scientific theories work?

    It's because they work mostly; that is good enough for most of us.

    I got that little ditty from studying the uncertainity principle in a modern physics class. This taught me that statistics is important in the interpretation of nature.
    And so...there you have it.
