  • "High serotonin leads people to eat less and shed fat." This seems wrong. SSRIs tend to cause drowsiness and weight gain.
  • J-Function: SSRIs may cause weight gain, but 5-HTP itself is a nutritional supplement with "supporting weight loss" as its indicated use.
